Blooming Flower Earrings
Make your own crochet earrings inspired by blooming flowers. Fun and lightweight, colorful cotton thread paired with silver accents makes these earrings both vibrant and elegant.

MATERIALS
Yarn: Size 3 DMC Pearl Cotton Embroidery Thread 16.4 yards in color of choice. (In this sample): 351 Orange, 554 Lilac, 341 Light blue, 602 Pink, 471 Green 972 Yellow. Light #3
Hooks: 2.5 mm crochet hook, 3.5 mm crochet hook.
Notions: Earring hardware: hook, jump rings, yarn needle. Jewelry pliers (2). Small beads with hole for center of flowers (optional)
Size: 2.5-inch long earring made of 1-inch small flower and 1.5-inch large flower.

Make 2 earrings per color. This pattern is written in US terms.
INSTRUCTIONS
Small Flower
Using the 2.5mm crochet hook, make a magic circle, ch 1.
Rnd 1: Sc 6 in mc. Join to first sc.
Rnd 2: *(Ch 2, 2 hdc, ch 2, sl st) in same st; sl st in next sc; rep from * around omitting final sl st. (6 petals)
Large Flower
Using the 3.5mm crochet hook, make a magic circle, ch 1.
Rnd 1: 6 sc in mc. Join to first sc.
Rnd 2: *(Ch 3, 2 dc, ch 3, sl st) in same st, sl st into next st; rep from * around. (6 petals) Fasten off.
Finishing
Using two jewelry pliers or two needle nose pliers, twist open the jump ring and insert one end under the middle two loops of one of the large flower petals. Insert the other end under the middle two loops of one of the small flower petals. Close the jump ring. On the other end of the small flower petal, add the earring hook.
Repeat with 2nd set of flowers.
(Optional) Sew a bead to the center of each flower with thread
